More than 50 Indian students studying in private medical colleges in Bangladesh including Rangpur and other regions under Rajshahi University are unable to take part in the MBBS final prof. examination to be held on October 16 due to visa complications.

These foreign students go to their home countries when holidays are announced in educational institutions due to coronavirus.

As usual, the MBBS final exam was scheduled to be held in May, but the exam was postponed due to the global COVID19 pandemic.

Later, Dhaka University, Chittagong University, and Rajshahi University rescheduled the examinations from October 16.

Though the visa for Indian students began on Wednesday (October 14), the visa has been issued in Bangladesh in a short time.

Half a hundred Indian students studying at all private medical colleges in Rangpur will not be able to take part in the test unless the scheduled 17th October exam is due.

A senior official of a private medical college, who did not wish to be named, said that most of the private medical colleges in Bangladesh are attended by foreign students.

The visa for Indian students began on Wednesday (October 14th), but it will take 4-5 days for procedural reasons.

They are not allowed to participate in the examination on October 17 because no process is completed on the exam including the form filing.

It is not possible for them to participate in the exam on October 18 as no process has been completed for them to participate in the exam including the form fillup.
